Traffic Crash with Injury at the Laurel / Whitley County Line

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Thursday, March 07, 2013 at approximately 7:17 a.m., the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a two vehicle traffic crash, with injury, on KY 312 south of London at the Laurel / Whitley County line.

Upon arrival Trooper Ryan Loudermilk determined that a silver, 2005, GMC, Yukon, SUV operated by Crystal Stidham, 34, of Corbin, was traveling eastbound on KY 312 when it went out of control of the ice cover bridge, crossed the centerline and struck a beige, 2005, Toyota, Camry, operated by Jonathan Patterson, 39, of Corbin.

Stidham and her three passengers, Halia Stidham, 12, Kaila Stidham, 9 and Alana Stidham, 6, were taken to the Baptist Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Patterson, who was alone in his vehicle, was also taken to the Baptist Regional Medical Center for treatment.

No drug or alcohol usage was suspected.

Trooper Loudermilk is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by officers from the Kentucky State Police, the Whitley County EMS and local fire departments.
