Two From Pike County Arrested on Burglary Charges

(Harold,Ky.) -- On October 28, 2012 Post 9 Pikeville received a call of a burglary of a residence in the Harold community of Floyd County. Tpr. Jonathan Dixon responded to the complaint and spoke with the home owner who stated that she had been missing items from within her residence between the months of September through October. Tpr. Dixon along with KSP Detective Jimmy Anderson began investigating the crime. On November 28, 2012 Det. Anderson conducted a search of a residence in the Millard community of Pike County recovering items linked to the burglary of the residence in Floyd County. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, Kayla Adkins 26 years old of Pike County was arrested and charged with 1 count of Burglary 1st Degree, 1 count of Theft by Unlawful Taking over $10,000.00 and Theft by Unlawful Taking Firearm. Mathew Adkins 28 years old of Pike County was also charged with 1 count Burglary 1st Degree, 1 count Theft by Unlawful Taking over $10,000.00 and Theft by Unlawful Taking Firearm. Both subjects were arrested and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center. This incident remains under investigation by KSP Detective Jimmy Anderson.
