Disaster Relief for Magoffin, Martin and Johnson Counties

(Magoffin, Martin, and Johnson Counties) -- On Wednesday March 14, 2012 Kentucky State Police Troopers and KSP employees from Frankfort and Bowling Green traveled across the state to deliver supplies to Magoffin, Martin, and Johnson counties. KSP Posts across the Commonwealth have gathered donated supplies to bring to the areas hardest hit by the severe weather.

These Troopers and KSP employees not only delivered the relief supplies, they also worked along side of Post 9 Pikeville Troopers traveling within the counties, going home to home handing out needed supplies.

On Thursday March 15, 2012 Captain John McMahan, Lt. Henry Banks, Lt. Darren Stapleton, Sgt. Randy Woods along with Post 9 Troopers and Detectives continued traveling across Johnson and Martin counties handing out supplies to those who were in need.

Donations from all across the state continued to pour in. Post 9 Pikeville would like to thank all the Posts from across the state and all of the citizens of the Commonwealth for making the donations that found their way to Magoffin, Martin, and Johnson counties.
