Motorcyclist Injured During Foot Pursuit on I-64

(MOREHEAD, KY) –- On Friday, November 23, 2012 at approximately 8:19 p.m., Kentucky State Police Trooper J. Moore observed Steven Reilly, 21 operating a 1998 Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed on westbound I-64 near mile marker 113. Reilly was stopped at mile marker 108 and then fled on foot in an attempt to elude the Trooper. As a result of his actions, while in the right traffic lane of eastbound I-64, Reilly was struck by a 2007 Honda Odyssey. Reilly was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington where he is listed in serious but stable condition. The accident remains under investigation by Detective Toby Gardner.
