Body of missing Fleming County hunter, found

Date of News Release: 11/20/2012

(MOREHEAD, KY) -- On Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 1:11 p.m. Kentucky State Police Helicopter located the body of the missing Fleming County hunter, Ricky Hamilton Jr, age 15. Hamilton left his residence Saturday afternoon with his father to hunt in the immediate area. Hamilton fell from a cliff into the Lehigh Hanson Rock Quarry. Next of kin have been notified. Hamilton's body will be taken to Frankfort for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. No foul play is suspected. The case remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.

Missing Juvenile Investigation

Date of News Release: 11/17/2012

(Tilton, KY) - On Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 8:14 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 8, Morehead was contacted to assist in the search for a missing deer hunter in the Tilton area of Fleming County. The missing juvenile was last seen in the Tilton area and has not been heard from since he entered the area to deer hunt. A group search is continuing this morning by Post 8 personnel along with the Tilton Fire Department, Fleming County Fire Department, Rowan County Search and Rescue and Buffalo Trace Search and Rescue. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Adam Hall.
