KSP Post 8 Detective Solves 2008 Cold Case

(MOREHEAD, KY) - On Thursday, October 25, 2012 Kentucky State Police Detectives in Morehead received notification from the Elliott County Courts of a Special Session Grand Jury Indictment against Elige Randolph, age 35, and James "Bobby" Eden, age 35. The indictment charges both men with the kidnapping and murder of Robert Boggs and Chris Leadingham in 2008. On January 2, 2008 Boggs was found at his residence in Elliott County with a single gunshot wound to his head. On January 4, 2008 Leadingham was found in the Gordon Ford area near Stark Ridge in Elliott County, also with a single gunshot wound to the head. The Kentucky State Police, in a joint investigation with Elliott County Sheriff Jimmy Stephens, were able to piece together information to present to the Special Session Grand Jury. Additional charges and arrests are pending in this case. Randolph is currently housed at the Marion County Detention Center on unrelated crimes. Eden is currently housed at the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro, KY, also on unrelated crimes.
