Injury Collision on US60 in Bath County

(Salt Lick, KY) - On Saturday September 8, 2012 at 3:26pm Trooper Brent Sparks while on routine patrol drove up on a two vehicle injury accident near the Rowan County and Bath County line on US60 east in Bath County. Trooper Scott Ferrell, and Rowan County Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Mr. Joe Taulbee was operating his 2001 Audi A6, Mr. Taulbee was traveling eastbound on US60 east where Mr. Taulbee advised that he blacked out and lost control of the vehicle. Mr. Taulbee exited the right side of the roadway and struck Mrs. Phyllis Reynolds on the driver side door of her 2000 Chevy Cavalier. Mrs. Reynolds was sitting in her driveway waiting to pull out onto US60. Mr. Taulbee was transported to St. Claire Regional Medical Center where he is being treated for non life threatening injuries. Mrs. Georgia Taulbee who was a passenger in the vehicle and Mrs. Reynolds were both transported to University of Kentucky Medical Center for possible life threatening injuries. Mrs. Reynolds is listed in critical condition at this time. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Scott Ferrell.
