Morehead Man Killed in a Motorcycle Collision

(Morehead, KY) -- On Friday, August 31, 2012 at 4:18 P.M., Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call from Rowan County dispatch in reference to a motorcycle accident on Christy Creek Road in Morehead. Trooper Thurman Paige, Trooper Keith Howard, and Rowan County Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Hubert Clark, 69, of Morehead, KY, was operating his 2000 Honda Motorcycle westbound on Christy Creek when he failed to negotiate a curve. Mr. Clark lost control of the bike and drove off of the right hand side of the roadway striking a rock embankment. Mr. Clark was pronounced deceased on the scene by Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Thurman Paige.
