Injury Collision at the intersection of KY 826 and Old River Road in Midland

(Midland, KY) -- On Sunday August 26, 2012 at 4:51pm Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified of a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of KY 826 and Old River Road in Midland. Mr. James Allen of Salt Lick was operating a 2012 Buick Verano on Old River Road when he attempted to make a left turn onto KY 826. While attempting to turn onto KY 826 Mr. Allen was struck by a 1998 GMC Pickup being operated by Mr. James Dye of West Liberty. Mr. Dye was traveling South on KY 826. Both individuals were air lifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Trooper Jason Brown, Unit 522, Air Methods, PHI, Bath County EMS, Salt Lick Fire Department, Olympia Fire Department and Bath County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene. Incident remains under the investigation of Trooper Jason Brown.
