DUI Injury Collision on KY 15 in Wolfe County

(Campton, KY) -- On Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 05:58 a.m., Kentucky State Police in Morehead was notified by Wolfe County Dispatch of a injury accident on KY 15 South in Wolfe County. Douglas K. Bowman, age 30, of Frenchburg was operating a 1997 Toyota Camry south on KY 15. Kymberly Little-Bailey, age 47, of Jackson was operating a 2008 Ford Focus north on KY 15 when Mr. Bowman crossed the centerline striking her vehicle head on. Douglas K. Bowman was transported by Wolfe County E.M.S. to the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson and later transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington for treatment of severe facial injuries. Kymberly Little-Bailey was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington from the scene where she is listed in serious but stable condition. Alcohol and drugs are suspected to be a contributing factor in the accident and charges are pending. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Joey Zalone.
