KSP Post 8 Golf Scramble

The first place prize of $1000 was won by the Powell County Team consisting of Matt Reed, Morgan Reed, Marcus Lake and Shawn Tipton.  Second place winners were Dwayne Moore, Matt Logan, Casey Branham, and Shay Armstrong.  Third place winners were Phillip Danes, Travis Crabtree, Tyler Noland and Virgil Rucker. Congratulations to all!!

(Morehead, KY) -- On June 22, 2012 the Kentucky State Police Post 8 held their annual Golf Scramble at Eagle Trace Golf Course that benefited Trooper Island. Twenty-two teams enjoyed the perfect weather. Capt. Bobby Murray, Post 8 Commander would like to thank all the sponsors, supporters and volunteers.

Hole Sponsors included the Montgomery County Tractor Sales, G & R Mining, Northcutt & Sons Funeral Home, Cave Run Yamaha Dealership, Auto Zone, Big Store Sales, Great Outdoor Power, Hamilton Inc, Family Dollar, Morehead-Rowan County EDC, and Senator Walter Blevins.

Stephanie Johnson, Christa Bledsoe and Kim Silvy, who are members of the Morehead State University Faculty, assisted in the registration of the teams and also served lunch. MSU Baccalaureate Students, who were also on hand to serve refreshments and lunch, was Savanna Keeton, Brittany Short, Chelsea Wagner, Cairee Fannin, Noelle Swayze, Cassie Farmer and Ashley Peterson. Also assisting was Austin Howell.

The Montgomery County Cattlemen's Association donated and prepared a generous serving of steaks while the Walmart Store in Morehead provided hamburgers, baked beans, vegetable platter, water, soft drinks, chips and cookies. Larry Fannin's Chevrolet Dealership donated the opportunity to win a 2013 Chevy Malibu.

Lastly, a special thanks to the staff of Eagle Trace Golf Course for their knowledge, experience and professionalism in making this golf outing a success.
