Stolen guardrail material investigation

(Morehead, KY) -- On April 30, 2012 at 9 a.m. Kentucky State Police Post 8 Trooper Jason Brown received a complaint of stolen materials from the highway construction crew. New guardrails were being installed along the west bound lane of I-64 near mile marker 109. The materials stolen were 9 black buckets; each containing approximately one-thousand 5/8" recessed guardrail nuts. The total value of the stolen items is in excess of $3100.
