Injury Collision on KY 172 in Morgan County

(WEST LIBERTY, KY)- On April 3, 2012, at 7:49 p.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call of a single vehicle accident on KY 172, 3 miles East of West Liberty. Kenneth Brown, 17 of West Liberty, was operating a 1998 Pontiac Firebird eastbound on KY 172. Mr. Brown failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the westbound lane of travel, then continued over an embankment coming to final rest. Mr. Brown was taken by private vehicle to Morgan Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty, KY with non life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Charlie Bolin.
