Free Consumer Protection Services provided by Kentucky Dept. of Insurance

(MOREHEAD, KY) -- Kentucky State Police Post 8 Public Affairs Officer, Trooper Endre Samu, received information from Frank Goins, Director of Property and Casualty Division of the Kentucky Department of Insurance, which victims of the tornado disaster should be aware of. He wanted to ensure that procedures on how to report fraudulent claims, obligations of insurance companies and different types of adjusters were provided. Types of adjusters include: staff adjuster, independent adjuster, and public adjuster. Each has different aspects of representations.
