Two Injured in a Collision on Pleasant Run Road in Morgan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On February 18, 2012 at 12:42 AM Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call for service from Morgan County Dispatch in reference to an injury accident on Kentucky 519 near Pleasant Run Road. Sergeant Brian Evans and Trooper Tony Russell responded to the scene. Leslie Cantrell was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Kentucky 519 when he crossed the center line and struck a 2006 International Truck that was traveling northbound on Kentucky 519 operated by Joshua Seals, both vehicles came to final rest in the northbound lane. Mr. Cantrell was extricated from his vehicle by mechanical means by Kentucky 519 Volunteer Fire Department and Morgan County Rescue Squad. Both Mr. Cantrell and Mr. Seals were transported to Morgan County ARH by Morgan County Emergency Medical Service. Mr. Cantrell was airlifted from Morgan County ARH to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Mr. Seals was treated and released from Morgan County ARH. Accident remains under investigation by Trooper Tony Russell.
