Stolen vehicle from Greenup County located in Montgomery County, arrest made

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On February 13, 2012, Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead was contacted by Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland in reference to locating a wanted person and a stolen vehicle at a residence on North Queen Street in Mt. Sterling. Post 14 Trooper Tye Chavies was investigating a complaint made by Nola Holbert that Bernice Wicker refused to return her 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck. An arrest warrant was issued for Bernice Wicker for the charge of Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle 1st Offense through Greenup District Court on 01/12/2012. Trooper Nathan Shortridge and Trooper Michael Armstrong responded to the Mt. Sterling residence and located Bernice Wicker and the white 1999 Chevrolet pickup. Ms. Wicker was arrested and the stolen vehicle was recovered and secured. The case remains under investigation by KSP Post 14 Trooper Chavies.
