Methamphetamine Lab Investigation in Powell County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On February 7, 2012 at 8:08 a.m., Kentucky State Police, Post 8 Morehead, was notified by Trooper Kenny Yarber that he had just received an anonymous tip of a Methamphetamine Lab near the Powell County Reservoir off Poplar Bluff Road in Stanton. Trooper Kenny Yarber along with Trooper Joseph Zalone, Trooper Scott Ferrell, Trooper Erwin Eiserman and Detective Hector Alcala responded to the area. Components of a methamphetamine lab were located in a forested area near the Powell County Reservoir off Poplar Bluff Road. No arrests have been made at this time. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Joseph Zalone.
