Injury Collision on the Mountain Parkway

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On February 5, 2012 at 11:16 a.m., Kentucky State Police, Post 8 Morehead, received a report of an injury accident at the 35 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway. Trooper Anthony Bowling and Trooper Brandon Eversole responded to the scene. Michael L. Bain of Mt. Sterling was operating a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer east on the Mountain Parkway near the 35 mile marker. Mr. Bain failed to negotiate a curve and left the right shoulder of the roadway striking a rock embankment with the driver's side. Mr. Bain was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling by Powell County EMS for non-life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Anthony Bowling.
