Two Arrested in Fleming County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On February 1, 2012 Kentucky State Police Trooper Eugene Robinson received information of a possible burglary in progress on KY 165 in Ewing. Trooper Robinson responded to the scene. Trooper Robinson contacted Matthew C. Gardner and Stacey R. Jent near the reported burglary. Both subjects were found to have outstanding warrants out of Fleming County.
Mr. Gardner was taken into custody and charged with execution of warrant for Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Fleeing or Evading Police, Resisting Arrest, Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, No Operators License, Inadequate Silencer, No Registration Plates, Possession of Marijuana, and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container. Mr. Gardner has been lodged at the Mason County Detention Center.
Stacey R. Jent was taken into custody and charged with execution of warrant for Receiving Stolen Property-Firearm and Shock Probation in Felony Convictions. She has been lodged at the Mason County Detention Center.
The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Eugene Robinson, Kentucky State Police Morehead.
