Injury Collision on KY 9000 in Powell County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On January 29, 2012, at 6:56 P.M. Kentucky State Police in Morehead was notified of an injury accident near the exit ramp of the 33 mile marker on KY9000. Trooper Erwin Eiserman, Trooper Anthony Bowling, Powell County Sheriff's Department, and Powell Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Denver Combs was operating a 2009 Mini Cooper eastbound. He entered onto the eastbound exit ramp. Mr. Combs failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled across Natural Bridge Road. Mr. Combs traveled up an embankment and came to final rest in a ditch off of the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Combs was taken to Marcum Wallace Memorial Hospital by Trooper Erwin Eiserman. He was then taken to University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Erwin Eiserman.
