Injury Collision on KY 172 in Morgan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On January 10, 2012, at 3:15 p.m., Kentucky State Police in Morehead was notified by the Mogan County dispatch of a single vehicle injury accident on KY 172 in Morgan County. Jeremy Watts was operating a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix westbound on KY 172 when a red Chevy pickup truck travelling eastbound allegedly came into the westbound lane. Mr. Watts veered off the right shoulder of the roadway, striking an embankment. There was no contact between the two vehicles and the operator of the Chevy truck did not stop. Mr. Watts was not injured. Passenger, Teresa Johnson, was transported to Morgan ARH by Morgan County EMS where she was admitted for non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Joseph Zalone.
