KSP Conducts Death Investigation in Lincoln County

(Waynesburg, KY) -- On Friday December 21, 2012 at 10:26 pm EST the Blugrass 911 Center was contacted about a juvenile male who had been shot on KY 1247 in Waynesburg. Deputies who responded to the scene requested assistance from Richmond Post.

Initial investigation revealed that a 16 year old male had died from a gun shot wound. An autopsey was conducted on Saturday December 22, 2012.

The investigation is continuing by Detective Rodney Wren. He was assisted at the scene by Sergeant Harvey Baxter, Trooper Donnie Moses and Trooper Joshua Chenault, Waynesburg EMS, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and the Lincoln County Coroner, Ferris Marcum.
