Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, Cram the Cruiser Event

(Richmond, KY) On Saturday December 15, 2012 the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post ended its month long holiday food drive with a day long event at the Kroger Market Place in Richmond. Members of the KSP Citizens Police Academy and Pepsi collected several thousand pounds of food donations and over $500 from shoppers. The money donated was spent at the Kroger Marketplace on everyday essentials that will be given to local food banks for them to assist families in need.

During the food drive Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Chad Mayes partnered with Boyle County High School, Junction City Elementary, Woodlawn Elementary, Tolliver Elementary, Jenny Rodgers Elementary, Wausau Paper, and First Southern Bank.

In total Richmond Post collected 9150 pounds of food to assist local food banks during the Christmas Holiday season.
