Date of News Release: 12/10/2012

Richmond Post- 2012 "Shop With a Trooper" Program at Stanford Wal-Mart

(Richmond, Ky) -- On Saturday December 8, 2012 Troopers from the Richmond Post spent the morning Christmas Shopping with children from across the 11 county post district. Their shopping spree was the result of year-long fundraising by KSP personnel and community groups.

141 children from the Richmond Post district were included in the event hosted by both Richmond and Stanford Wal-Mart stores.

Employees from Whittaker Bank and Cundiff Chiropractic in Lancaster, KY, who held a 5 K run to benefit the "Shop With a Trooper" program, were at the Stanford Wal-Mart assisting the troopers and helping the children select presents.

Troopers have collected donations across the post district for the past year in Boyle, Jessamine, Lincoln, Garrard, Madison, Clark, Estill, Lee, Jackson and Owsley Counties.
