Operator in Mercer County Crash Dies

(Lexington, Ky) – On Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. (EDT), William T Hicks, died as a result of the injuries he received in a single vehicle crash on the Bluegrass Parkway on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

Georgetown Man Injured in a Collision on the Bluegrass Parkway

(Harrodsburg, KY.) –- On Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 8:50 p.m. (EDT), the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, received a report of a single vehicle injury crash on the Bluegrass Parkway, 12 miles north of Harrodsburg.
Initial investigation revealed that a 2004 Toyota Corolla, operated by William T. Hicks, 27 years old of Georgetown was traveling west on the Bluegrass Parkway. The vehicle went onto the center shoulder and struck a guardrail.
William T. Hicks was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment . Seat belts were in use at the time of the collision. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
Trooper First Class Eric Taylor is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Anderson County Fire Department Station One and Two, and Anderson County EMS.
