Eubank Man Arrested after Drug Store Burglary

(Beattyville, KY) – On Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 11:06 p.m. EDT the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post responded to a drug store in the city limits of Beattyville to respond to a burglary in progress. Kentucky State Police, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Dennis Johnson responded to the scene with officers of the Beattyville Police Department.
Responding officers observed a male exit the rear of the Rite Aid then return inside. Officers were able to arrest the male outside and searched the building in an attempt to locate any accomplices.
Patrick Gooch, 31 years old of Eubank, KY was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Criminal Mischief 1st degree and lodged in the Three Forks Regional Jail.
Trooper Charles Brandenburg is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by Sergeant Toby Coyle, CVE Sergeant Doug Stacy, and Trooper Michael Keeton.
