Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, Activity for August 2012

(Richmond, KY.) Captain Lisa Rudzinski, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of August, 2012.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1186 citations of which 127 were for speeding and 7 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 136 citations for no seatbelts. 19 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 482 courtesy notices, and assisted 66 stranded motorists, while inspecting 2442 vehicles.

Richmond Post investigated 30 traffic collisions in the month of August.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 981 complaints, opened 67 criminal cases, and made 194 criminal arrests.

Troopers also worked 807 special details and conducted 74 educational programs in July.
