Joint Investigation into Synthetic Marijuana Sales in Lancaster Leads to Search Warrant and Arrest

(Lancaster, KY) - On Thursday, July 19, 2012, a search warrant was served at the Shell gas station at 201 Lexington Street in Lancaster.
62 packets of suspected synthetic marijuana, labeled as Happy Tiger and Black Magic, as well as cash proceeds were seized at the store.
Usman Muhammad Chapra, 28 years old of Lexington, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substances Second Degree, First Offense. He was lodged in the Lincoln County Detention Center.
The search warrant is the result of a multi-agency investigation by the Lancaster Police Department, Garrard County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police, Drug Enforcement Special Investigations. They were assisted at the scene by troopers from Richmond Post.
