June activity report from Post 7

(Richmond, KY) -- Captain Lisa Rudzinski, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of June, 2012.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1452 citations of which 195 were for speeding and 16 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 204 citations for no seatbelts. 32 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 574 courtesy notices, and assisted 107 motorists, while inspecting 2053 vehicles.

Richmond Post investigated 68 accidents in the month of June. One of which was a fatal collision in Madison County.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1290 complaints, opened 87 criminal cases, and made 265 criminal arrests.

Troopers also worked 686 special details and conducted 21 educational programs in May.
