January activity report from Post 7

(Richmond, KY) -- Captain Lisa Rudzinski, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of January, 2012.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1401 citations of which 176 were for speeding and 8 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 144 for no seatbelts. 23 were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 736 courtesy notices, investigated 80 accidents, of which 1 was fatal, and assisted 119 motorists, while inspecting 1648 vehicles.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1154 complaints, and opened 104 criminal cases, and made 295 criminal arrests.

Troopers also worked 674 special details and 21 programs in January.

In January, the nine Communications Officers at Richmond Post, received and placed a volume of 1831 requests.
