Corbin Woman Killed in a Collision on I-75

Date of News Release: 12/26/2012

(Dry Ridge, KY) -- The Dry Ridge Post of the Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on 12/26/2012 at the 165 mile marker on I-75 North in Grant County. Jacob Evens (29) of Owensboro, Ky was traveling north bound in a 1999 Honda four door black in color. He lost control of his vehicle and struck a white 2011 Ford Ranger pickup truck which was parked on the right shoulder of the interstate, it's owned by O'Reilly Auto parts. The pickup truck was operated by a Danny Marsh (67) of Boone County who had stopped to assist on another unrelated collision. Danny Marsh was not in the truck at the time of the collision. The passenger and wife of Jacob Evans in the Honda, a Nora Green (28) of Corbin was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. Jacob Evans was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence for his injuries. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Mac McDonald.
