Oklahoma Man Arrested After Traffic Stop

(LaGrange, KY) – One subject was arrested in the early morning hours Saturday after Troopers discovered a large amount of money and drugs during a traffic stop. A traffic stop was made on Interstate 71 near the 24 mile marker in Oldham County. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 1 ounce of cocaine, 20 pounds of marijuana, 4.2 ounces of marijuana seeds, and $11,570.00 in cash. Arthur Penrod, 72 years old from Oklahoma was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled substance First Degree (Cocaine). Mr. Penrod was transported and lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
