Two Arrested on Drug and Firearms Charges in Trimble County

(Bedford, KY) –- Two Trimble County men were arrested this (12/21/2012) morning after Troopers served a search warrant at the home at 266 Doe Ridge Road outside of Bedford, KY. Michael Beatty, 36 years old from Bedford, KY, and David Bird, 22 years old from Bedford, KY, were in the home when Troopers arrived. During a search of the residence Troopers discovered several ingredients used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Troopers also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia along with several firearms which were seized from the home. A juvenile who was in the residence was removed and released to a guardian. Beatty was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Failure to Notify Address Change. Bird was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Both were transported and lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
