Meth Lab in Car Leads to Arrest of Henry County Man

(Pendleton, KY) – A Henry County man has been arrested after Troopers discovered a meth lab in a car at his home. Joshua Clift, 23 years old from Pendleton, KY, was observed exiting a vehicle parked in his driveway at 221 Pendleton Loop by Trooper Matt Whalen at approximately 5:30 p.m. on 10/27. Trooper Whalen stopped to speak to Clift and smelled a very strong chemical odor coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of an active meth lab along with several ingredients used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Clift was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Meth Precursors, and Possession of Methamphetamine. Four children, ages 4-16, were found in the home that Clift resides. None of the children were exposed to the meth lab in the vehicle. Clift was lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
