Man Pleads Guilty to Trimble County Murder

(Bedford, KY) - A Trimble County man has pleaded guilty to a 2008 murder in Milton, KY. Clester Mullins, 37 years old from Milton, KY, pleaded guilty today to the December, 2008 murder of Steve "Catfish" Jones. Mullins was originally arrested by Detective Todd Harwood on charges of Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence in January of 2009. Through investigation, Detective Harwood was able to determine that Mullins struck Jones several times in the head with a metal bar before strangling him. Mullins, who is already incarcerated on a Robbery charge from Fayette County, was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Detective Harwood was assisted in the investigation by the Trimble County Sheriff's Office.
