Gallatin County Meth Lab Leads to Four Arrests

(Sparta, KY) -- Troopers responding to a complaint of a suspicious smell discovered a meth lab at the Speedway Inn in Gallatin County. Gallatin County dispatchers received the call at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Friday (5/4) and contacted KSP for assistance. Troopers and deputies from the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office went to the Speedway Inn and discovered two active meth labs in a hotel room. Several ingredients used in making methamphetamine were in the room as well. The inn was temporarily evacuated while the labs were disposed of by Troopers. No children were present.
Andrew Jones (22 years old of Carrollton, KY), Sarah Smith (21 years old of Winchester, KY), Tyler Wilson (21 years old of Sparta, KY), and Calista Robertson (22 years old of Worthville, KY) were charged with the following: Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, Possession of Marijuana, and Wanton Endangerment 1st.
All of the subjects were lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center. Trooper Justin Sams is leading the ongoing investigation.
