Two Arrested After Three-County Pursuit

(Campbellsburg, Ky) -- A pursuit Tuesday (4/17) on I-71 that spanned three counties ended with two subjects being apprehended by the Kentucky State Police. Tpr. Zack Morris responded to a call of a possible DUI on I-71 North in Henry County at approximately 11:00 p.m. After observing the vehicle, Tpr. Morris activated the lights and siren on his cruiser in order to get the vehicle to stop. The driver of the vehicle, Marcus Gritton (33 years old of Louisville, KY), continued driving. Several other Troopers joined in the pursuit as it traveled through Trimble and into Carroll County. The pursuit lasted 11 miles before Gritton stopped his vehicle in the left lane of I-71 North. Gritton was arrested without further incident.
Gritton was charged with the following: Wanton Endangerment, Fleeing or Evading in Motor Vehicle, Driving DUI Suspended 3rd, Reckless Driving, DUI 3rd Aggravated, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Promoting Contraband, No Registration Plate, Failure to Maintain Insurance, Improper Use of Left Lane, Improper Signal, and Failure to Produce Insurance Card.
A passenger in the car, Lindsey Curcio (19 years old of Louisville, KY), was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Prescription Not in Original Container.
Both subjects were lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
