Corinth Man Pleads Guilty in 2010 Shooting

(Owenton, KY) -- The trial in a 2010 shooting death in Owen County has ended with the perpetrator pleading guilty to several charges. An investigation by Post 5 detectives resulted in Christopher Dennis Jr. (72 years old from Corinth, KY) being charged with the killing of Ruben Eppele (30 years old from Georgetown, KY). The trial, which began Monday, ended yesterday (1/17) when Dennis Jr., who was charged with Murder, decided to plead guilty to a lesser charge of Manslaughter 1st Degree.

Mr. Dennis Jr. also pled guilty to Trafficking in Marijuana 2nd Offense, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Per the plea agreement, Dennis will serve 10 years in prison on each charge with the time running concurrently.
