Rineyville Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Hardin County

(RINEYVILLE, KY) On Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 7:33 p.m. ET KSP Post 04 received a report of a two vehicle injury crash on KY 1375 ( N. Long Grove Road ) approximately 4.5 miles south of Rineyville. Theresa E. Rose, 50, of Rineyville was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban and was traveling south on KY 1375. Joseph Hardesty, 53, also of Rineyville was operating a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, pulling a 20 foot trailer and was traveling north on KY 1375. Rose lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and was struck on the passenger side by the Dodge Ram. Rose's vehicle came to final rest on the eastbound side of the roadway in a soybean field. The Dodge Ram came to final rest partially on the eastbound side of the roadway. Theresa Rose was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner. She was not wearing a seat belt. This crash occurred after a brief period of heavy rainfall which may have been a contributing factor. Hardesty was belted, and was not injured. KSP was assisted by the Rineyville Fire Department, the Hardin County EMS, and the Hardin County Coroner. Tpr. Brad Riley is investigating the crash.
