KSP Charges Nelson County Man with Internet Related Crimes

(Bardstown, Ky.) -- A Nelson County man was arrested on charges related to child pornography Tuesday after Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.

Frederick Rausch IV, 22, is charged with 10 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying the Sexual Performace by a Minor. He was lodged at the Nelson County Detention Center.

Mr. Rausch was arrested by the Kentucky State Police as a result of an undercover online investigation into the possession and distribution of images of child sexual exploitation. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Mr. Rausch's residence in Bardstown, KY on July 3, 2012, by Kentucky State Police Post 4 units. Equipment used to distribute child pornography were seized and taken to the Kentucky State Police forensic laboratory for examination. Additional charges are pending.
