(PAYNEVILLE, KY) On Saturday, June 30, 2012 at approximately 10:20 p.m. ET Post 4 Troopers responded to KY 376, approximately 1 mile west of Payneville in Meade County to investigate a fatality crash. The investigation revealed that a red 2007 Dodge Pickup operated by 21-year-old Adam J. Hall from Webster, KY was eastbound on KY 376. The vehicle traveled down an embankment and overturned. Hall was ejected as well as the passenger sitting in the middle seat, 16-year-old Courtney B. Horsley from Payneville, KY. Another passenger, 24-year-old William A. Hall from Webster, KY was not ejected and sustained only minor injuries. Adam Hall also sustained minor injuries and was not transported. However, Horsley, was critically injured and was taken to the fire station to be airlifted to Louisville. The aircraft was canceled due to Horsley succumbing to her injuries. She was pronounced dead at approximately 11:16 p.m. ET. None of the three passengers were wearing a seatbelt and alcohol does appear to be a contributing factor in the crash.
