Former Hardin County Resident Charged With Multiple Counts Of Rape And Fathers A Child With Victim

Date of News Release: 06/13/2012

(ELIZABETHTOWN, KY) - On June 10, 2012, Jessamine County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 47-year-old Alfred Charles Ivey, Jr. of Nicholasville, KY on an outstanding warrant from Hardin County, charging him with 16 counts of Rape 1st Degree (victim under 12) and 34 counts of Rape 1st Degree.

The charges stem from an investigation into allegations made by a female, who lived in Ivey's Elizabethtown home as a juvenile from 1999-2004. The allegations were that he forcibly raped her repeatedly during the time she resided in his home. The female gave birth to a child in 2004, when she was 13 years old, and did not disclose the abuse or the identity of the father until recently. A paternity test revealed that Ivey fathered the victim's child. The victim is not related to him.

Ivey is currently lodged in the Hardin County Detention in lieu of a $500,000.00 cash bond. The investigation is ongoing by Det. Jonathan Vaughn of Post 4.
