Two Men Airlifted From The Scene Of A Single Vehicle Crash on Interstate 65

(Elizabethtown, KY) -- On Wednesday March 21, 2012 at approximately 5:23 p.m. ET KSP Post 4 investigated a single vehicle crash on Interstate 65 at the 83 mile marker in Hardin County. A 2010 Chevrolet Aveo, operated by 23-year-old Sang Hyun Song from LaCrescenta, CA was southbound on I-65 when for unknown reasons the vehicle dropped off into the median. Song lost control of the vehicle and the Aveo began to overturn. The Aveo came to final rest facing east in both lanes of southbound traffic. Song and his passenger, 24 year-old Tae Wha Seong, a Korean National, were treated at the scene by the Hardin County EMS and flown to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts. This crash is being investigated by Trooper Scotty Sharp.
