Horse Cave Woman Injured in a Collision on the Interstate 65 in Barren County

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On 12/20/2012, at 10:40 am, Ivy Waddell (52) of Horse Cave, KY when she was traveling Northbound on Interstate 65 near the 45.1 mile marker in the right travel lane. Waddell struck a pool of water, causing her vehicle to hydroplane, and enter a clockwise yaw, exiting the right shoulder of the roadway, traveling up an earth embankment before striking a ditch filled with chunk rock before coming to final rest.

Waddell was transported to TJ Sampson Hospital by Barren/Metcalfe EMS, and treated and released for minor injuries sustained in the collision.

Trooper Hodges was assisted on scene by Master Trooper Lonnie Hodges, Park City Fire Department, and Barren Metcalfe EMS.
