Update to the Two-Vehicle Fatal Collision in Warren County

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Monday, November 19, 2012 at 1:12 A.M. Bailey Hughes (74) succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision that occurred on Monday, November 12, 2012.

Two-Vehicle Fatal Collision in Warren County

Date of News Release: 11/12/2012

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Monday, November 12, 2012, at 11:14 A.M., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to the 6000 block of Plano Road in Warren County, Kentucky regarding a two-vehicle fatal collision.

According to Trooper Brett Coomes, Ciara Taylor (23) of Glasgow, KY operating a 1999 Buick was traveling eastbound on Plano road when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a 1994 Chevrolet truck operated by Bailey Hughes (74) of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Ciara Taylor was taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green where she was pronounced dead by Warren County Deputy Coroner Dewayne Lawrence. Taylor's passenger a 17-month old male was transported to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Bailey Hughes was transported to the Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Ciara Taylor and her passenger were wearing their seatbelt/child restraint at the time of the collision. Bailey Hughes was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

The investigation is still ongoing is be led by Trooper Brett Coomes. He was assisted on scene by Trooper First Class Larry Davis and Trooper First Class Lonnie Hodges, MedCom, Vanderbilt Life Flight, Alavaton and Plano Fire Department, and the Warren County Coroner's Office.
