Drug Tip Leads to Seizure of 448 Grams of Cocaine

(Bowling Green, KY.) -- On Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10:45 P.M., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a drug tip regarding to a vehicle that was traveling southbound on I-65. Trooper David Hall located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation a search of the vehicle was conducted. The search yielded 448 grams of cocaine which has an estimated street value of $49,280. The investigation led to the arrest of:
- Ronnie L. Brown (49) of Holly Springs, MS was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana, and Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Cocaine)
- Billy J. McThune (42) of Oxford, MS was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Cocaine)
- Michael A. Rutherford (49) of Yonkers, NY was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Cocaine)
All three subjects were lodged in the Simpson County Jail.
The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by Trooper David Hall.
