1st Annual "Cram the Cruiser" School Supply Drive Huge Success

(Bowling Green, KY.) -- On Friday, July 27, 2012, Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green along with members of the Cave City Police Department, Horse Cave Police Department, Munfordville Police Department, and Hart County Sheriff's Office participated in the 1st Annual "Cram the Cruiser" school supply drive for Caverna and Hart County Schools.

"I am truly overwhelmed by support of not only all of both schools and perspective police departments, but to the community as well. This event is not possible without the community lending a hand," commented Trooper Jonathan Biven, KSP Public Affairs Officer.

The following items were collected over the eight hour period:

  • 288 packages of loose leaf paper
  • 165 composition notebooks
  • 4000 wooden pencils
  • 192 Bottles of Glue
  • 61 pencil boxes
  • 14 Backpacks
