Motorcycle Collision on KY 1015 Injuries One

(Bowling Green, KY.) -- On Sunday, June 10, 2012, at 2:09 pm Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to the 1700 block of KY 1015 (Dog Creek Road) in Hart County in reference to a single vehicle collision.

According to Trooper Graham Rutherford's preliminary investigation, a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Raymond D. Cowles (74) of Bowling Green, KY was traveling east on KY 1015 when his motorcycle struck some loose gavel in the roadway causing him to lose control. Mr. Cowles was then thrown from the motorcycle.

Mr. Cowles was air lifted from the scene by Air Methods and transported to the University of Louisville Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.His condition is unknown at this time.

Mr. Cowles was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was alone on the motorcycle.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Trooper Graham Rutherford.
