Tour Bus Injury Collision in Hart County

(Bowling Green, KY.) -- On Wednesday, June 06, 2012, at 5:51 P.M. (CST), Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green was notified of a tour bus collision that occurred on KY 728 in Hart County, Kentucky.
It appears that a group of school children had departed Cub Run Elementary school in Hart County, Kentucky on a non school sponsored field trip from Cub Run, KY to Washington D.C.
The driver of the tour bus, Timothy P. Saum (49) of Evansville, In was traveling east on KY 728 when he failed to negotiate a curve causing him to exit the right hand shoulder of the roadway and turning over on its right side.
The bus was carrying 55 people, which consisted of 20 adults, 34 children and one driver.
The injured were taken to four area hospitals. At this time injuries consist of scrapes, bruises and one passenger was taken by Air Evac. to the University of Louisville hospital will a possible broken back, wrist , and collapsed lung after being checked out by one of the area hospitals.
The investigation is still ongoing.
