Warren County Sodomy, Assault & Arson Complaint

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Monday March 19, 2012, at 2:07 P.M. (CST), Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to 3545 Penns Chapel Road in Warren County, Kentucky in regards to a domestic disturbance.
When troopers arrived on scene, the suspect, Lindel Oneal (56) of Bowling Green, approached KSP personnel holding a knife. After repeated commands to drop the knife, Mr. Oneal turned the knife on himself and attempted to cut his throat. Troopers on scene provide Mr. Oneal with first aid as the above residence became engulfed with flames.
Mr. Oneal was transported via Air Evac to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee with self-inflicted wounds to his neck. His injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
Warren County Commonwealth's Attorney Chris Cohron was contacted and a warrant was issued for Mr. Oneal for Sodomy 1st. Additional charges are pending further investigation.
Detective Chad Winn is leading the investigation and he was assisted on scene by Troopers Wayne Mayfield, Brett Coomes, Larry Davis, KSP Arson Investigator David West, Medical Center EMS, and Fire Departments from Richardsville. Gott, and Smiths Grove.
